One of the strangest and most shocking images of the colonial West is the “human zoo” phenomenon. The problem stems from the fact that modern Western human knows himself as the superior human race in evolution, and knows the human races of its colonies as a lower race and closer to the animal. Hence, we see that man allows himself to do the same with lower-level humans as they do with animals and show them in the form of zoos and exhibitions for the superior and more developed white race.
